a vessel containing melted tin, the surface of which is covered with fat or oil, to defend it from the action of the air; the iron by this means comes in contact with the tin in a perfect metallic state and becomes coated. If a small quantity of iron only is to be coated it is heated and the tin rubbed on with a piece of burberry outlet cloth, or some tow, sprinkling the iron first with some powdered resin for the purpose of reducing the tin that may be oxydated.Of tinning Copper.
